We are seeking a positive and engaging Mau Rakau Mentor to join our learning community. You will be focused on helping students develop self-identity and team leadership skills in Maori. Applicants will have experience in the delivery of Te Reo Māori Kapa Haka and Mau Rakau training.
Strong Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori knowledge is an advantage. Other desirable attributes include confidence in using different digital platforms and experience with helping students journal their experiences.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic about working with youth and have the skills to facilitate all manner of learning and team development with students interested in learning Mau Rakau.
Applicants must be available during school hours. The job is one to two hours per week to begin with but there is the potential for increased hours over time. We pay travel expenses as well as an hourly rate of $30 per hour.
