Location: DFW/Hybrid/Remote

Company & Position Overview:

BIM is a dynamic and rapidly growing SaaS payments provider dedicated to giving our partners the solution to power in-store, mobile and web commerce. We are seeking a solution-oriented Settlements Analyst. The Settlements Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and settlements. This position involves reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and managing the settlement process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. The Settlements Analyst works closely with internal teams, external partners, and financial institutions to facilitate smooth transaction processing and minimize financial risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily reconciliation of financial transactions, including but not limited to payments, receipts, billing, and settlements.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transaction data, collaborating with internal departments and external partners as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze settlement processes to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to financial transactions and settlements.
  • Coordinate with financial institutions, payment processors, and other third-party vendors to resolve settlement issues and optimize transaction flows.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of settlement processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Generate reports and provide regular updates on settlement activities, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in the implementation of new financial services vendors, systems, tools, or technologies to enhance settlement capabilities and streamline operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to financial settlements and transaction processing.
  • Provide support and assistance to internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, operations, and customer service teams, regarding settlement-related inquiries or issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial services, banking, or payment processing, with specific experience in settlements or reconciliation preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile large volumes of transaction data accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software or tools used for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to financial transactions and settlements.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • The central office is located in Dallas, Texas. We are looking for someone either in the DFW area that can work a hybrid schedule or a remote candidate.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as typing, using a computer mouse, and operating office equipment.
  • Vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus for tasks such as reading documents and viewing computer screens.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required for events, meetings, or client visits.
