Venture Community Services is Hiring a Driver/Monitor Near Webster, MA

Description

10-15 hours a week split shift: 7:15am-8:30am & 2:00pm-3:30pm

  • Driving individuals to and from Day Program in Webster, MA to Connecticut
  • Fosters positive and productive professional relationships with others within and outside of the agency.
  • Checks the condition of the vehicle and notifies the Assistant Manager of any potential safety or operational problems.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the interior of the vehicle.
  • Obeys the laws of the road at all times.
  • Calls in any accidents and/or non-routine problems to the Assistant Manager when on the road.
  • Completes necessary paperwork (i.e. incident reports, time sheets, etc.) and submits within the required timeframe.
  • Performs physical restraints and/or redirection of individuals as necessary.
  • Assists in helping individuals into and out of the vehicle.

Hours:

  • Monday through Friday 7:00am-8:30am & 2:00pm-3:30pm
  • About 15 hours per week
  • Must be flexible to attend required trainings.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Acceptable CORI and driving record background checks.
  • Must have valid Massachusetts driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds alone.
  • Ability to transfer consumers and to utilize a full range of body motion.
  • Ability to tolerate sustained periods of sitting.
  • Ability to participate in physical restraints and/or redirections of consumers.

Cognitive Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to pass First Aid, CPR, UMVB, and Defensive Driving.
