FT Cashier/Sales Associate

Welcome to S&S Petroleum, Inc!

We are seeking a cashier/retail sales associate to provide excellent customer service and keep our store and gas station running smoothly. You will be processing sales transactions and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and clean.

The schedule we currently need to fill is Swing shift on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays (12-8pm); and Graveyard shift on Fridays and Saturdays (10pm-6am). However, we do need someone with open availability (who can fill in any shift as needed).

The ideal candidate is flexible and motivated. You won’t get bored because there’s always something to do! You’ll wear many hats as you learn and grow new skills through management support and professional training.

What you’ll be doing:

• Operate the POS (cash register) both efficiently and accurately
• Upsell by suggesting additional items at the point of purchase.
• Operate the Lottery/Lotto terminal. Follow all payout procedures.
• Follow all State, Federal & Company Policies on selling tobacco and alcohol.
• Protect company assets at all times.
• Keep the store clean, organized and stocked.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to sell alcohol and tobacco products.
• Ability to calculate sales and change quickly.
• Excellent customer service skills.
