The AoD/Mental Health Assessor provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Being an AoD/Mental Health Assessor complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. In addition, AoD/Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Che ... mical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree.
