We’re seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to join our operations team in Kansas City. What You’ll Do As a Transportation Dispatcher
- Assign drivers to trips based on availability, proximity, and customer needs
- Monitor daily fleet operations to maintain on-time performance and service quality
- Provide real-time instructions, route updates, and operational guidance to drivers
- Respond to customer calls with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy
- Troubleshoot delays, service issues, or route disruptions and recommend solutions
- Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activity, trip details, and vehicle deployment
- Collaborate with operations, customer service, and safety teams to improve efficiency
- Promote a safety-first culture by following company standards and procedures
- Experience in dispatching, customer service, fleet coordination, or transportation operations (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for supporting both drivers and customers
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and confident in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with dispatch systems or GPS-routing software (a plus)
- Valid driver’s license required
