What You'll Do as a Paratransit Driver:

Safe & Reliable Transportation

• Provide dependable transportation services for passengers with mobility and accessibility needs.
• Transport passengers to medical appointments, employment locations, schools, community programs, shopping destinations, and other essential locations.
• Ensure passengers arrive safely, comfortably, and on time.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and operating procedures.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to all safety regulations.
• Deliver professional and reliable service while adapting to changing transportation needs.

Passenger Assistance & Customer Service

• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate service to every passenger.
• Assist riders with boarding and exiting vehicles as needed.
• Safely secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices according to company guidelines.
• Maintain a welcoming and supportive atmosphere throughout each trip.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, caregivers, dispatch staff, and team members.
• Support individuals with varying mobility and accessibility requirements while promoting safety and dignity.

Safety & Compliance

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Accurately complete all required reports, trip logs, and documentation.
• Follow company policies, transportation regulations, and safety procedures at all times.
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns, incidents, and operational issues promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for daily service.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer care.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to assist passengers with mobility and accessibility needs.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
• Ability to work independently and manage routes efficiently.
• Compassionate, patient, and service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screening requirements.
• Previous experience in transportation, healthcare, caregiving, customer service, senior services, or related fields is beneficial but not required.
