Required Skills and Qualifications
- Perform daily site inspections to monitor construction activities, document progress, and identify quality or safety issues.
- Review and monitor project schedules to support phased construction with minimal operational disruption.
- Provide oversight of contractor compliance with project specifications, drawings, and federal regulations.
- Lead design evaluations and provide recommendations for technical improvements or issue resolution.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports summarizing work status, milestones, and outstanding issues.
- Use digital tools and construction management software to track RFIs, submittals, and material inventory.
- Support contract modifications through cost estimating and scope validation.
- Conduct condition assessments and inspections of both clinical and administrative spaces.
- Maintain active communication with contractors, VA staff, and A/E teams throughout all phases.
- Ensure adherence to VA, local, state, and federal building codes and safety requirements.
- Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of healthcare construction and operational impact mitigation strategies
- Proven ability to interpret and evaluate construction plans, technical specifications, and drawings
- Experience managing compliance with federal contracting and procurement standards
- Proficiency in construction documentation, reporting, and oversight
