What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metallurgist position at ZSG?
- Works independently, with ability in at least one major areas of mill operations
- Develops operating practices to produce quality steel products meeting or exceeding industry standards and customer requirements.
- Reviews manufacturing practices on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with established operating practices
- Design, execution and reporting of product development and quality improvement trials
- Interprets data and makes recommendations to Operations management
- Investigates quality-related production problems and collaborates with other departments to find cost-effective solutions
- Implements techniques for quality and productivity enhancements
- Manages disposition of material which does not meet requirements for intended application
Salary : $90,000 - $135,000
