Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to support a highly automated manufacturing operation in Prince George, VA. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation equipment that support continuous production.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, motor starters, VFDs, MCCs, control panels, and power distribution systems (480V, 277V, and 120V).
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, sensors, HMIs, encoders, safety circuits, and automation equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line drawings.
• Install and modify electrical equipment in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards.
• Support equipment startups, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree in Electrical Maintenance, Industrial Electrical Technology, or a related field

OR

• 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely work on electrical systems up to 600V.
• Basic computer skills, including CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Multi-craft maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in a continuous-process manufacturing environment.
