Electrical Technician / Controls Technician

We are seeking Electrical Technicians / Controls Technicians to support a Fortune 100 steel manufacturing plant in Sedalia, MO. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced industrial electrical maintenance professional who wants to work hands-on with automation, motor controls, safety circuits, PLC systems, and plant electrical reliability.
This role supports production operations by troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and automation systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The team is looking for technicians who can contribute quickly, bring strong electrical fundamentals, and operate with safety as the top priority.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot and maintain industrial electrical systems
- Support motor controls, safety circuits, and industrial control systems
- Assist with PLC-related troubleshooting, maintenance, and system support
- Provide electrical support to production teams to keep equipment running safely and reliably
- Interpret electrical schematics for equipment installation, repair, and maintenance
- Work with automation systems, drives, HMI troubleshooting, and plant control systems
- Support scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and weekend work as needed
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Strong electrical theory knowledge
- Experience with motor controls
- Experience working with safety circuits
- Industrial controls experience
- Ability to add value quickly with limited initial training
Preferred:
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Siemens automation experience
- Allen Bradley experience
- Variable Frequency Drive experience
- HMI programming/troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of PID / closed-loop control systems
- Networking tools and standards
- Basic pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge
Compensation & Schedule
- Compensation: Approximately $45–$50/hour, with current average annual compensation reported around $120,000
- Bonus: Production bonus available, with current production average reported at 178%
- Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off, rotating between days and nights weekly
