Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Laurens, SC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift, typically 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays
Compensation: $46–$50/hr, with expected annual income before bonuses of approximately $95K–$125K, plus profit-sharing bonus averaging 15–20%
A Fortune 100 steel manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join one of their divisions in Laurens, SC. This role emphasizes supporting plant operations, equipment reliability, and long-term maintenance team growth. This position is being added due to internal growth and promotion within the maintenance department. The team is specifically looking to strengthen its electrical skillset, making this a great fit for someone with strong industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
What You’ll Do
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls systems. You will work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to reduce downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support safe, efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and control system issues
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform corrective maintenance
- Support PLC troubleshooting and controls-related maintenance
- Work with Allen Bradley systems when applicable
- Perform preventative maintenance to improve equipment uptime and reliability
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
- Follow all plant safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety-first culture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and production personnel
What We’re Looking For
- Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical troubleshooting background
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
- PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
- Allen Bradley controls experience strongly preferred
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues and make effective repairs
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to plant procedures
