What are the responsibilities and job description for the Doggy Daycare Team Member - Full Time/Part Time Positions Available position at ZOOMIES Pet Hotel?
Get full-time pay & full-time hours in only 3 days of work! Work ONLY 3 days and receive. a guaranteed weekend day off! Ideally you have availability to begin at 6:00 to 6:30am and clock out around 7:00 PM.
Use your 4 days off to work on schoolwork, take classes, or spend time with family.
Part time and traditional schedules are also available if the 3 day workweek does not fit your lifestyle. Other schedules consist of 6 or 10 hr shifts. Currently we require at least one weekend day available (no one works two weekend days unless requested).
Compensation: (tips typically range from $.50-$2.00 per hour)
$14.25/hour Tips - Pet Care Specialist
$13.50/hour Tips - New Hire (first 30 days of employment)

Pet Care Specialists are responsible for delivering our core promises, cleanliness, and compassionate care of our customers as well as the pets in our care. This position spends the most time in direct contact with our furry friends. Patience is a must with this position as you will be working with dogs all day. Someone in this position not only must love dogs, but they must also be willing to "get down and dirty". Cleaning suites, pet waste, feeding and medicating dogs, and giving dogs baths are all part of the daily routine.
You must excel at communication and observation skills, as well as possess a keen eye for detail and be able to react to inappropriate play quickly. Previous experience is preferred but not required, we will train the right applicant. Sundays are required! Some holiday hours are required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Customer service-oriented - we pride ourselves on offering a boutique personalized experience. We are NOT a typical “kennel” we are a 5-star all-inclusive luxury pet hotel, being kind and polite is our #1 requirement.
- Use time effectively with the processes that are in place
- Responsible for the health and well-being of dogs in Daycare and Boarding
- Work closely with owner/managers in charge to handle hotel tasks
- Dog Bathing (No grooming)
- Responsible for the sanitation of all accommodations and outdoor areas * Performs body checks to search for pre-existing conditions and/or injuries
- Has the ability to perform tasks at the request of the Managers/Owner
Qualifications:
- Must complete ZOOMIES education for a Pet Care Specialist within first 30 days to become a Team Member.
- Must be customer service oriented
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience is preferred but not required
- Some weekend and holiday hours are required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Stand outside (and inside) for extended periods regardless of the weather.
