Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for various tasks including food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Prepare food items in accordance with food safety standards and restaurant guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in both front-of-house and kitchen areas.
- Assist with bussing tables and ensuring a tidy dining environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a quick service & fast food restaurant is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus.
- Strong culinary experience and knowledge of food handling practices.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven sales skills with an emphasis on upselling menu items.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
- Experience in a café or grocery store setting is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
