Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of menu items, including meal planning and food preparation
- Work closely with the culinary team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Provide help and support to other kitchen staff as needed
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of knife skills and culinary techniques
- Prepare and maintain a variety of menu items, including skewers, salads, appetizers
- Participate in menu planning and suggest new and creative menu items
- Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
Skills
- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Strong knife skills and experience with various culinary techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience with meal preparation and menu planning
- Familiarity with dietary department and ability to prepare special dietary meals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ability to assist in the management of inventory and ordering of ingredients
