Position Summary
Malendrina is seeking a passionate and dependable Line/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Our menu features Mediterranean and Sicilian-inspired small plates designed to complement our curated wine program. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in quality and consistency, and works well as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef specifications.
- Execute menu items consistently during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen stations.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products following food safety standards.
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management.
- Follow opening, service, and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all health and sanitation regulations.
- Work efficiently with front-of-house staff to provide exceptional guest experiences.
- Assist with menu preparation, specials, and seasonal offerings as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen, prep cook, or line cook experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure during busy service periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
