SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment while ensuring maximum equipment uptime, supporting continuous improvement and preventative maintenance initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ø Performs routine maintenance and inspections on injection molding machines and related equipment (e.g., dryers, chillers, mold temperature controllers, robots).
Ø Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in molding machinery.
Ø Repairs or replace defective machine parts and components.
Ø Sets up and tears down molds, ensuring proper alignment and safety.
Ø Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and downtime.
Ø Monitors equipment performance and suggest improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Ø Assists in equipment installation and commissioning of new molding machines and systems.
Ø Follows and promotes safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Ø Collaborates with production to support continuous improvement efforts.
Ø Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
Ø Performs all essential functions of Maintenance Technician I position.
Ø Maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with company policies.
Ø Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Ø High School Diploma/GED and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ø 5 years of experience in maintenance or related field.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Ø Strong understanding of PLCs, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ø Experience with troubleshooting and repairing injection molding equipment.
Ø Ability to read technical manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
Ø Familiarity with safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Ø Technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field.
Ø Experience with automation systems and robotics (e.g., Yushin, Wittmann).
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
