Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items with precision, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, poachers, braising pans, and food production machinery safely and efficiently
• Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures comply with food safety regulations and sanitizing protocols
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting daily specials and seasonal dishes based on ingredient availability
• Maintain high-volume food production standards while managing multiple orders simultaneously
• Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals for dietary restrictions or health requirements
• Uphold cleanliness standards by regularly sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe kitchen environment

Skills

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or catering environments with a focus on quick service cooking
• Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under pressure in high-volume settings
• Experience with dietary aide tasks such as menu planning for special diets or health-focused meals
• Familiarity with food industry standards for food handling, recipe adherence, and quality control
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
