We are seeking an experienced and reliable Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a 13-week contract assignment at a reputable healthcare facility in Port Jefferson, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and preparing medical instruments and equipment used in various clinical and surgical settings.
Responsibilities
- Clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
- Inspect and test medical equipment for proper function
- Maintain accurate sterilization and inventory records
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with OR staff and other clinical teams
- Ensure timely delivery of sterile instrumentation
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience
- CRCST or CBSPD preferred
- Ability to work Day/Eve/Night shifts
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to guidelines
- Reliable and professional work ethic
Pay: $30.24 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
