Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer with strong shopfloor experience to join our client's manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in lean manufacturing, time studies, line balancing, value stream mapping (VSM), and continuous improvement initiatives. This role focuses on improving productivity, optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze assembly lines and manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Conduct Time Studies and Line Balancing, including:
- Elemental work breakdown
- Video time studies
- Station and operator analysis
- VA/NVA/RNVA analysis
- Current state line balancing
- Muri analysis
- Develop Current State and Future State Value Stream Maps (VSM) to identify bottlenecks, waste, and process inefficiencies.
- Perform capacity analysis and establish baseline manufacturing performance metrics.
- Recommend and implement Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 process improvement initiatives with detailed implementation roadmaps.
- Develop and update Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and Video Work Instructions.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, production defects, downtime, and process failures, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Support Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Provide support for fixture design and process improvements based on production requirements.
