Job Title: Financial & Regulatory Reporting Preparer
Location : Chicago, IL || Hackensack, NJ || Milwaukee, WI
We need candidate work onsite from Day 1 (5 days a week).
About the Role
Works as part of a team responsible for providing financial statements for a wide variety of alternative investment funds, including but not limited to hedge funds, private equity funds, and closed-end registered products. Analyzes operational structure and yearly activities of funds with different investment strategies and products. Maintains financial reporting workbooks throughout the year ensuring that it meets client standards. Coordinates data sets used in annual audits and information flow with internal stakeholders. Oversees compliance and detail review of financial statements prepared by the associates with US GAAP, IFRS and other widely adopted accounting principles. Coordinates multiple clients’ engagements concurrently. Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports (e.g., Form PF, Form PQR, Annex IV (AIFMD), Form 13F, CIMA FAR and others). Provides peer reviews of financial reports. Participates in ad-hoc financial reporting projects as required.
Responsibilities

- Maintains the U.S. Bank automated financial reporting solutions using advanced Excel skills.
- Coordinates data sets used in annual audits and information flow with internal stakeholders.
- Oversees compliance and detail review of financial statements prepared by the associates with US GAAP, IFRS and other widely adopted accounting principles.
- Coordinates multiple clients’ engagements concurrently.
- Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports (e.g., Form PF, Form PQR, Annex IV (AIFMD), Form 13F, CIMA FAR and others).
- Provides peer reviews of financial reports.
- Participates in ad-hoc financial reporting projects as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of experience in alternative investments industry with advanced knowledge of financial & regulatory reporting.
Required Skills
- Big 4 and other large accounting firms’ candidates are preferred.
- Inquisitive mind that will research on relevant accounting topics (e.g., FASB ASC/ASU, investment company accounting).
- CPA or CA certification preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of portfolio accounting and the investment management industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements/tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proven team-oriented, leadership and organizational skills.
