Job Title: Trademark Paralegal – Global Brand Protection

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Trademark Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our global brand portfolio, supporting trademark prosecution, enforcement, and clearance efforts for a diverse range of consumer and industrial brands. You’ll work closely with attorneys, business leaders, and outside counsel worldwide to ensure the protection and growth of our intellectual property assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Trademark Portfolio Management:
Maintain and update a comprehensive global trademark database.
Prepare and file trademark applications, renewals, assignments, and recordals with the USPTO and international offices.
Coordinate global clearance searches, review results, and provide actionable guidance.
Enforcement & Brand Protection:
Monitor watch notices, online brand protection alerts, and domain names for infringement.
Draft cease-and-desist letters, coordinate takedowns, and support opposition and cancellation actions.
Partner with outside counsel on global enforcement strategies.
Cross-Functional Support:
Collaborate with marketing, product development, and business teams on trademark usage and brand protection.
Prepare reports, portfolio updates, and assist in IP training initiatives.
Docketing & Deadline Management:
Oversee a global docket of trademark deadlines, ensuring accurate and timely filings.
Communicate critical deadlines with attorneys and internal partners.
Administrative & Legal Support:
Manage global trademark invoices, accruals, and budgets.
Maintain well-organized, compliant electronic files and documentation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in global trademark portfolio management (in-house or law firm experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of USPTO, Madrid Protocol, WIPO systems, and international trademark procedures.
Proficiency with IP docketing and portfolio management software.
Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with a global mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP or enterprise system experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate required.
Salary : $34 - $35
