Job Summary
We are seeking a Process Technician II to support injection molding operations by performing machine startups, troubleshooting processing issues, and maintaining process stability to ensure quality production output. This role works closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support efficient manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform injection molding machine startups following mold changes, material changes, repairs, and maintenance
- Troubleshoot molding process issues to maintain quality and production efficiency
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure stable operations
- Submit first-piece samples for quality approval
- Support mold changeovers and material changes
- Manage regrind usage and scrap tracking
- Respond to automation alarms and assist with troubleshooting
- Enter downtime and scrap data into process monitoring systems
- Support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards on the production floor
- Support Quality, EHS, and certification compliance requirements
- Assist with audit readiness and technical documentation updates
Qualifications
- 3 years of injection molding process technician experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of scientific injection molding principles
- Experience with SPC and DOE concepts preferred
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with computer-based production systems
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Advanced injection molding training preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
