Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace Development Program
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support an advanced aerospace development program focused on engine/nacelle hardware integration through prototype and first article build phases. This role will play a key part in transitioning designs from development into production-ready hardware while supporting manufacturing execution, build planning, and cross-functional integration activities.
The ideal candidate brings strong aerospace manufacturing experience, hands-on build support expertise, and the ability to work closely with engineering, suppliers, and operations teams in a fast-paced development environment.
Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing engineering activities across prototype, development, and first article build phases
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to improve producibility, quality, and assembly efficiency
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including BOMs, routings, work instructions, tooling requirements, and manufacturing plans
- Ensure alignment between engineering design and manufacturing execution through configuration management and change control
- Partner with engineering, supply chain, quality, and supplier teams to resolve manufacturing and integration issues
- Support tooling readiness, production planning, and manufacturing process validation activities
- Provide hands-on build support during hardware integration and first article assembly activities
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues in real time and drive corrective actions
- Support supplier manufacturing coordination and build readiness reviews
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, and manufacturing efficiency
Qualifications
- 8 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience within aerospace, aviation, or complex mechanical systems environments
- Strong knowledge of DFM, manufacturing processes, production readiness, and aerospace assembly practices
- Experience supporting prototype, NPI, development, or first article build programs
- Experience creating and managing BOMs, routings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and suppliers
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced development and build environments
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CATIA, Teamcenter, SAP, Solumina, or Siemens NX
- Aerospace structures, nacelle, propulsion integration, or complex assembly experience
- Experience with metallic fabrication, composites, tooling, or assembly integration
- Prior experience supporting aircraft development, flight hardware, or advanced aerospace programs
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Salary : $50 - $60
