Automotive Electrical Repair Technician
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Electrical Repair Technician to support vehicle assembly operations at an OEM manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex vehicle electrical systems, wiring, connectors, immobilizers, alarms, and related components to OEM standards. The technician will perform advanced electrical diagnostics, conduct root cause analysis, and provide technical guidance to repair teams while ensuring high-quality repairs on new production vehicles.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of automotive electrical repair experience, strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems, and proficiency using OEM diagnostic scan tools, digital multimeters, and electrical schematics. This position requires excellent problem-solving abilities, independent decision-making, and the ability to communicate technical findings effectively with leadership and team members.
Key Qualifications:
- 5 years of automotive electrical diagnostics and repair experience
- Advanced understanding of vehicle electrical systems and architectures
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagnostic data
- Experience using OEM diagnostic equipment and test tools
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and communication skills
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- ASE certifications and leadership experience preferred
This role involves on-site support at an OEM vehicle assembly facility, occasional travel, and the opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert in advanced automotive electrical diagnostics and repair.
