Job Description:
- Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, usually under the direction of engineering staff, to design, build, repair, adjust, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components for aerospace products.
- Build and route wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and connector terminations according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform soldering, crimping, wire stripping, splicing, and cable routing using approved tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions.
- Install, connect, and secure electrical components, connectors, relays, switches, circuit boards, and other electronic devices.
- Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing using multimeters and other electronic test equipment.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with workmanship standards, customer specifications, and aerospace quality requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly issues while documenting nonconformances as required.
