We are seeking a results-driven EOR & IOR Technical Engineer to support laboratory research, client-facing technical initiatives, and field implementation projects within the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and hydraulic fracturing markets. This role requires a strong foundation in polymer laboratory testing combined with the ability to translate complex technical data into clear, value-driven solutions for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments; prepare samples and laboratory equipment while maintaining accurate records of results and observations
- Conduct polymer-related laboratory testing for EOR and fracturing fluids, including rheology and core flooding tests
- Follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines; support quality control and quality assurance processes
- Present ZL products, technical features, and competitive advantages to clients in the EOR and fracturing market
- Prepare feasibility reports for on-site implementation plans and respond to technical client inquiries
- Assist in preparing technical papers for academic conferences and journal publications
- Propose experimental plans and laboratory requirements to the R&D team in China based on client needs
- Monitor market developments in products and technologies and report findings to management
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering (required)
- Master’s or PhD degree (preferred)
Experience & Skills:
- Previous laboratory experience preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory testing standards and documentation procedures
- Strong understanding of polymer chemistry and EOR applications (preferred)
- Excellent presentation, communication, and technical writing skills
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements
- Willingness to travel for client support and field implementation as needed
