Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to advocate for clients navigating complex and often sensitive matters, including divorce, time-sharing, adoption, and support-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel in family law matters, including divorce, time-sharing, and post-judgment proceedings
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and parenting plans
• Conduct thorough legal research (LexisNexis or similar platforms) to support case strategy
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations with professionalism and strong advocacy
• Manage case files efficiently, ensuring compliance with all deadlines and procedural requirements
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff on complex matters, including cases involving domestic violence
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Florida family law statutes, case law, and procedural rules

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active member of The Florida Bar or ability to obtain admission within a reasonable timeframe
• Minimum of 1 year experience handling family law cases (preferred)
• Strong understanding of divorce, time-sharing, alimony, and related issues
• Excellent legal writing and drafting skills
• Strong negotiation and litigation skills
• Familiarity with case management systems and legal document organization
• Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines

Compensation, Benefits & Flexibility

• Base salary commensurate with experience, structured around a minimum average of 14 billable hours per week
• Quarterly bonus opportunity equal to one-third (1/3) of collected revenue for billables exceeding minimum expectations

• The firm will reimburse reasonable expenses related to obtaining admission to The Florida Bar (including application and exam fees)
• The firm will provide up to $3,000 in relocation assistance upon successful admission to The Florida Bar and commencement of employment
