About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking a senior Technical Consultant to design and deliver ServiceNow solutions for a global technology services organization.
In this role, you will lead smaller projects and teams, provide hands-on technical leadership, translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories, and guide customers on platform best practices and business value. You will also coach junior consultants and ensure solutions are built for long-term success following ServiceNow leading practices.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead smaller projects and teams with focus on story execution, customer success, and guiding customers on business value.
- Develop deep expertise in 1–2 ServiceNow offerings and provide prescriptive guidance while maintaining platform health through hands-on technical leadership.
- Design and deliver ServiceNow solutions with technical architecture built for long-term success, following ServiceNow technical standards and leading practices.
- Participate in customer workshops to assess current processes and define future-state processes.
- Translate requirements into technical specifications and user stories that align technical needs with business objectives.
- Guide customers through technical documentation and discussions; drive consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Provide oversight and unit testing of code developed by partners or customer resources.
- Advise customers on how to leverage ServiceNow Platform capabilities to improve business processes.
- Guide customers in completing required documentation (e.g., business requirement workbooks).
- Coach and mentor junior team members (Technical Consultants and Associate Technical Consultants) on solutioning and project challenges.
- Provide feedback to product development based on customer experiences.
- Support change management through adoption strategies and training materials.
- Stay current on ServiceNow advancements through training and certifications and share insights with teams and customers.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in a professional services organization (or equivalent).
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required.
- Strong hands-on ServiceNow solution design and technical leadership experience.
- Proven ability to lead smaller projects/teams and mentor junior consultants.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
- Ability to run projects independently and drive complex issues through analysis and resolution.
- Strong collaborative skills and experience working directly with customers.
- Experience leveraging or critically evaluating AI tools to optimize workflows, tailor solutions, or support decision-making.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional ServiceNow certifications in aligned workflows.
- Industry domain expertise relevant to the customer base.
- Experience providing feedback to product teams and contributing to platform improvement.
