Front Counter Associate - Customer Experience

Job Description:

ZIPS Cleaners is hiring a dependable and customer-focused Front Counter Associate to be the face of our store and deliver a great customer experience from drop-off to pick-up.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, staying organized in a fast-paced setting, and being part of a team that takes pride in quality and service. No prior dry cleaning experience is required. We provide training and support from day one.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome customers and provide a friendly, efficient service experience
• Receive garments for dry cleaning, laundry, and alterations, ensuring accurate ticketing
• Return completed orders and confirm accuracy with customers
• Handle transactions using our POS system (cash and card)
• Answer questions and resolve issues with professionalism and care
• Keep the front counter and workspace clean, organized, and running smoothly
• Share information about current promotions, services, and programs
• Support team operations to keep workflow moving efficiently

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone who enjoys working with customers and being part of a team
• Ability to stay composed and organized during busy periods
• Strong attention to detail and reliability in daily tasks
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes
• Clear communication and a positive attitude

Helpful (but not required):

• Retail or customer-facing experience
• Experience using a register or POS system

Role Requirements:

• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours)
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Flexible availability, including some weekends
• Must be 18 years or older

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
