Job Summary
Zion Lutheran Church and School seeks a dependable, organized, servant-minded individual to serve as our full-time Custodial Manager.
This position oversees the cleaning, care, and routine maintenance of our church and school facilities. Responsibilities include coordinating custodial work, maintaining the boiler, managing supplies, preparing spaces for worship and school activities, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
The ideal candidate works well independently, communicates effectively, and takes pride in caring for the facilities that support Zion’s ministry. The best benefit of all is the daily interaction with students and building their confidence in learning! Custodial or maintenance experience is preferred, and the candidate must be able to obtain a Boiler's License and pass a background check.
Duties:
-Daily cleaning of the building and classrooms
-Preparation and clean-up of school breakfast and lunch
-Boiler monitoring
-Routine maintenance
-Basic management of air-conditioning and air handlers
-Ability to lift 50 pounds
-Annual and seasonal care for the building
-Set-up and tear down for special events
-Summer maintenance includes shampooing carpets and waxing floors
-Inventory and ordering of custodial supplies
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
