Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of custodial staff during night shifts to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the school facilities to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assign tasks to custodial team members and monitor their performance, providing training and support as needed.
- Manage inventory and order cleaning supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Respond to emergencies and special cleaning requests, including spills, accidents, and after-event clean-up.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, staff attendance, and supply inventory.
- Collaborate with school administration and maintenance staff to address any facility-related issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, promoting a culture of safety among custodial staff.
- Foster a positive and respectful work environment, encouraging teamwork and communication among staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in custodial management preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in custodial services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures related to custodial work.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
Special Requirements
Boilers License within 6 months of being hired.
Pool license may be required within 12 months of being hired.
Valid driver's license.
Compensation: $23.28 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
