The Director of the Child Development Center is a dynamic and compassionate leader dedicated to nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and developmental growth of children within a faith-based community. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the ministry's operations, fostering a welcoming environment for families, and guiding staff and volunteers to deliver impactful programs rooted in Christian values. Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of age-appropriate educational and spiritual programs for children of various age groups.
- Manage daily operations of the Child Development Center Ministry, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children and families.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff and volunteers to uphold ministry standards and foster a team-oriented atmosphere focused on compassionate service.
- Coordinate special events such as holiday celebrations, parent workshops, and community outreach initiatives that promote family engagement and spiritual growth.
- Develop fundraising strategies to support ministry activities, including grant writing, donor engagement, and community partnerships.
- Communicate effectively with parents, church leadership and community stakeholders to ensure transparency, collaboration, and ongoing program improvement.
Requirements:
- Bible believing Christian
- 2 years of proven experience in an approved childcare facility, teaching or mentoring children within a faith-based or educational setting, and willing to support Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod doctrine in the Center.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate tearms and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Strong communication skills essential for engaging with children, parents, staff and community partners.
- Experience in event planning with an emphasis on family-oriented activities and community outreach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a faith-centered environment while maintaining growth through dedicated service rooted in faith!
- Minimum Associates Degree in early childhood development and/or pre-service requirements set by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
Salary : $31,000 - $40,000
