Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Maintenance & Pool Technician to join our Engineering and Water Quality team. This position is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and daily operations of the facility's systems, including all mineral and freshwater pools. This vital role ensures a safe, clean, and fully operational experience for both guests and staff, maintaining the resort's commitment to excellence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections of pools, spas, and facility systems.
- Daily brushing, vacuuming, netting, and water testing of all mineral and freshwater pools.
- Monitor and maintain water quality, including chemical balance, filtration, and sanitation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including pumps, plumbing, and pool equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues or safety concerns.
- Conduct inspections for structural safety, functionality, and compliance with codes and standards.
- Repair or replace fixtures, lighting, HVAC components, and other general facility equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and chemical usage.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
- Report and resolve potential hazards; follow all safety protocols and use proper PPE.
- Provide courteous assistance to guests and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support other departments as needed and complete additional duties assigned by the department manager.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years or older to apply.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in maintenance or pool operations beneficial, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of tools, techniques, and maintenance equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with safety, chemical handling, and facility protocols.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) – company will provide training if needed.
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification – company will provide training.
