Position Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be expected to perform all work duties and responsibilities to maintain the operations of the facilities in compliance with all mandated State and Federal EHS and FDA requirements and Zinpro company policy. Success in this position requires the ability to work with complex machinery and perform physically demanding work while ensuring the safety of self and others. This role is based in a Zinpro manufacturing plant.
Essential Functions
- Performs maintenance, repair, and installation of automated plant production systems, physical plant systems and structures, and building and ventilation equipment. Performs minor and routine tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical/electronics (within NEC rules), and frequently works with electrical systems, pump systems, dry solid handling equipment, and basic facility operating systems (compressors, hot water heaters, HVAC, etc).
- Performs and documents preventive maintenance on all plant systems and uses the plant Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to contribute to the plant quality systems and document all work requests and work completed
- Assists Operations Manager in the project planning and installation of equipment/systems using the plant CMMS and communicates with production employees and management regarding maintenance issues
- Requests tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance and notifies the Operations Manager concerning need for repairs to plant equipment and facilities
- Performs maintenance activities in accordance with product safety, personal safety, and housekeeping requirements while maintaining a clean and organized workstation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Relevant post-secondary education or certification(s)
- 2 years’ experience in plant operations and/or maintenance
- Basic computer skills (PC) including use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Preferred:
- Associate degree (A.A.) from two-year College or technical school or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting ISO 9000 Quality Systems, GMP’s, or Lean Manufacturing methods

Schedule Requirements
The maintenance technician is expected to work a 40-hour work week with occasional overtime. The current schedule is 4, 10 - hour shifts.
Travel Requirements
This position will work primarily at their home manufacturing plant facility and may engage in occasional company-sponsored travel.
