Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various settings, including homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient care and support for individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, and autism.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for patient transfers when necessary.
- Document care provided accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Experience working with people with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
