Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and group homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care and support tailored to their unique needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to healthcare professionals
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning tasks
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction
- Document patient observations and care provided in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is a plus
- Strong patient observation skills to recognize changes in behavior or health conditions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment is beneficial
