Leading Flavors and Fragrance Company has an immediate need for a Quality Control Technician in Flavors.,
Job Description
These are some of the essential duties the candidate will be required to do:
Performs sample testing for production and internal labs using organoleptic, physical, and chemical analysis
Conducts basic laboratory maintenance and cleaning
Ensures that all lab consumables are replenished in a timely manner.
Competency
Proficient analytical and organizational skills
Proficient oral/written/electronic communication skills
Strong attention to detail and Good Lab Practices
Qualifications
Prior laboratory experience in a college or industry setting
Currently studying for or have achieved an A.S. or B.S. degree in Chemistry, Food Science or related field
Hours: 11:00am - 7:30 pm
Training
We would prefer them to working 9:00 - 5:30 during training for about 2 months. We are flexible and if they prefer to start at the later time, we can adjust to them.
The interview needs to be in person, should take about 1 1/2 hours. As part of the interview process, they will be required to complete a sensory evaluation test. This test involves tasting a flavor diluted in water and identifying the flavor. Examples of possible flavors include strawberry, peach, and chocolate.
Pay Rate: $25.OO per hour
