Forklift Operator

Zing Recruiting is partnered with a global flavors manufacturer in Carol Stream. We are seeking a forklift operator to join the team on 1st and 2nd shift for the production of spices. This is a great opportunity to join in on a global organization that offers full union benefits .

Shift: 1st shift 6am-230pm OR 2nd shift 2pm-1030pm
Pay: $20-$21.50 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks while verifying shipment accuracy.
• Move raw materials, finished goods, and inventory throughout the facility.
• Stage materials for production and shipping operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required documentation.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities as required.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Support inventory counts and cycle count activities.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse, production, and shipping teams to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).
• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.
