EHS Manager

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a vehicle components, is seeking to hire an experienced EHS Manager to promote safety and health by analyzing and eliminating potential hazards. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring all aspects of the Health and Safety Program at our lithium-ion battery recycling facility.

Location: Liberty, NC

Salary Range: $80k-$110k (depending on experience)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Compile, analyze, and interpret accident, loss, and exposure statistical data; prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective actions to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
• Develop, direct, manage, and coordinate policies and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, SARA Title III, TSCA, CAA, CWA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI, and NIOSH directives.
• Minimize safety, health, and environmental impact through risk assessment, job hazards analysis, and facility assessments.
• Assess compliance with applicable regulations and standards; recommend changes to work processes, equipment operations, and protective devices to minimize hazardous environments.
• Collaborate with multiple locations to review current systems, assess shortcomings, analyze options for improvement, and implement solutions.
• Support incident investigations; determine root causes, develop corrective actions, and implement process changes. Monitor trends and champion injury/illness reduction.
• Develop and lead programs and initiatives that drive employee engagement and participation in the HSE management system.
  
  

Required:

• One or more of the following credentials: CSP, MSP, CSD, CIH
• OSHA 501 training certification
  
  

Preferred:

• CCPSC, CHMM
  
  

Required:

Education and Experience:

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene
• 5 years of relevant safety experience in chemical manufacturing, process safety management, battery manufacturing, battery recycling, or a related field
  
  

Preferred:

• M.S. in a related field
