Construction Estimator

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a growing Architecture Engineering and Consulting firm in the Minot, ND area, is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to play a critical part in the successful planning and execution of construction projects by developing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting preconstruction activities, and collaborating with project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Construction Estimator Job Summary

Pay: Up to $45.00 per hour DOE

Location: Minot, ND

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday

Construction Estimator Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Review construction plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop budgets, cost reports, and competitive project proposals.
• Support preconstruction planning, scheduling, and procurement activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, clients, and design professionals.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Utilize estimating software and project management tools to support project execution.
  
  

Construction Estimator Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of construction estimating experience.
• Proficiency with construction estimating software and project management systems.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
