We are seeking a senior-career Electrical Engineer to lead the development of advanced health devices for a client in Lehi, Utah. You will drive hardware design from concept through production while ensuring compliance with stringent medical and regulatory standards. In addition to technical leadership, you will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines to deliver innovative, high-performance products at scale.
Key Qualifications
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout using tools such as Altium, including HDI high-density and flex designs
- Deep knowledge of low-noise analog and mixed-signal circuit design, PCB layer stack definition, signal acquisition, and best practices for minimizing noise and motion artifacts
- Strong understanding of power delivery network (PDN) design, signal/power integrity (SIPI), and low-power architecture optimization, and lithium battery management systems
- Experience integrating Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), NFC, RFID, and other wireless technologies; Demonstrated experience with RF layout and validation, antenna tuning and characterization, range testing, and RF link peformance testing
- Familiarity with communication protocols: UART, I²C, SPI, MIPI, USB
- Hands-on experience with prototype development, SMT rework, and bench testing
- Expertise in test and measurement using oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, power analyzers, signal generators, physiological simulators, ESD generators, and environmental chambers
- Strong experience with regulatory compliance testing: FCC, CE, EMI/ESD, IEC 60601, and medical device standards
Responsibilities
- Own full electrical hardware design from Concept through NPI into Mass Production
- Define system architecture, power tree and communication interfaces
- Own component selection, schematic capture, and PCB/flex circuit design (Altium preferred)
- Integrate 2.4GHz wireless module connectivity including RF layout considerations
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software teams to interpret PRD and ensure seamless integration; Integrate comprehensive DFM, DFT, and xFMEA
Salary : $145,000 - $175,000
