ZIMMERMANN is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our HR team based out of our New York Head Office on a temporary maternity leave coverage contract.


The purpose of this role is to effectively support the Americas Retail and US Head office through effectively sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for active vacancies and future opportunities. You will support our US HR team in identifying and hiring exceptional individuals who align with the values and objectives of the Zimmermann business, and who can ultimately support in driving business success and contribute to a positive work culture.


Key Responsibilities:


Recruitment Coordination

  • Utilize a variety of recruitment channels such as external and internal job boards, Zimmermann website, social media, and industry networks, to actively source potential candidates for open positions through both role postings, and proactive recruitment measures.
  • Review resumes and applications, as well as proactive outreached candidates and screen against role requirements.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and assessments to further evaluate a candidate’s suitability for a particular role.
  • Collaborate with department managers, regional and store managers on scheduling interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Collect feedback and support with candidate evaluation following interviews.
  • Support with administrative tasks such as background checking, contract generation, record keeping, and onboarding organization for new team members.
  • Maintain the recruitment database for retail and head office team members, ensuring data is up to date, accurate and complete.


General

  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, providing timely, professional, and personalized communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist in maintaining Zimmermann’s employer brand through online platforms and candidate interactions.
  • Support the implementation and communication of employee referral programs and other talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance through applicable laws and regulations through the recruitment process.
  • Champion Diversity & Inclusion through the Recruitment process working to ensure a diverse representation across both head office and Retail team.
  • Maintain accurate, up to date, and complete records of recruitment activities, including candidate and new hire files and documentation.
  • Be proactive in understanding future staffing needs, and efficient in putting plans into place to support in managing this.
  • Provide frequent reporting on recruitment tracking and data, to ensure key stakeholders are up to date on relevant recruitment and onboarding information.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with external recruitment agencies (where required), ensuring they are up to date with relevant roles, and that they are hiring within the advised scope (including salary & seniority).
  • Maintain recruitment documents to support retail teams, including interview guide and privacy & permission form, and docusign onboarding documentation.


WHS

  • Contribute to the development of a safe and healthy workplace and take reasonable care to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Comply with all directions provided to you regarding your own health and safety, as well as that of others.
  • Cooperate with management in it’s fulfilment of all WHS consultative and legal obligations.
  • Report any injury, illness or hazard as promptly as possible to the relevant manager or stakeholder.
  • Support in the management and maintenance of the retail team’s injury register.
  • Support the HRBP and HR Manager with WHS committee activities and requirements.


Skills and Specifications


  • Relevant qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with candidates, team members, hiring managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage and communicate conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Detail oriented approach to work, with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and completeness.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional candidate experience.
  • Understanding of relevant legislative requirements about recruitment and WHS.

  • Reduction in time-to-fill metric, demonstrating a shorter time to fill a vacant position from the moment it is posted to acceptance of offer.
  • Hiring high quality, competent candidates who maintain a longstanding relationship with the business.
  • High new joiner satisfaction as measured through the new joiner survey, as well as candid feedback.
  • Widened candidate sourcing pool, and then targeting the sources that are proven to be most successful in producing high quality candidates.
  • Diversity and inclusion as a maintained focus through all recruitment efforts
  • Increased promotions and succession planning in retail teams.
  • High standards of compliance with relevant laws, regulation and company policies and procedures.
