Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to support our attorneys mainly in the areas of Estate Planning, Family Law, Probate, and Trusts. This position will involve tasks such as preparing documents, organizing exhibits, drafting spreadsheets, data entry, client and court communications, document review and editing, and other paralegal tasks associated with these areas of law.
This position is ideal for candidates taking a gap year or considering attending law school in fall 2027, or for a paralegal or legal assistant with 1-3 years of experience in this or another area of law. Gain hands-on legal experience across multiple practice areas in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and forms relevant to estate planning, family law, probate, and trusts matters.
- Exhibit Organization: Organize and maintain exhibits, evidence, and case files for litigation matters.
- Spreadsheets & Data Entry: Draft spreadsheets, perform accurate data entry, and maintain organized records.
- Client & Court Communications: Serve as a point of contact for clients and courts, ensuring timely and professional communications.
- Document Review & Editing: Review, edit, and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- New Client Intake: Assist with onboarding new clients, including gathering information and preparing intake materials.
- File Management: Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files.
- General Administrative & Transactional Support: Assist with general administrative tasks and transactional paralegal work as needed.
- Phone & Front Desk Coverage: Participate in the firm's call queue and assist with front desk coverage as needed, ensuring clients and callers are greeted and directed promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associates Degree with paralegal training or experience
- Experience working in an office (preferred)
- Great attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading
- Strong work ethic and commitment to confidentiality
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications (preferred)
- Eagerness to learn new tasks and take on increased responsibility over time

Compensation & Benefits
- $45,000–$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Two weeks of paid time off (PTO), with one week accumulated every six months
- Parental leave
- Flexible schedule — remote work allowed on an as-needed basis (typically no more than one day per week)
