Multigenerational Commercial Real Estate Development Company located in Wilmington, NC in search of a development manager who has experience with ground up, wood frame multi-family projects including market rate and student housing.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct projects from groundbreaking to completion
- Review the project in-depth to confirm deliverables and estimate costs
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building regulations
- Coordinate and direct general contractors
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Prepare internal and reports pertaining to job status
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
Requirements:
- BA/BS in real estate, construction management, engineering, or business
- 5 years of industry related experience; specifically, student housing or multi-family industry
- Willingness to travel locally and out of state
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to Wilmington, North Carolina
