What You Can Expect
Responsible for the design, development, and processing of implant and instrument packaging under the direction of a project leader or manager.
How You'll Create Impact
- Designing for manufacturability, inspectibility, and optimum cost
- Generating prototype models to evaluate new design concepts
- Coordinating product evaluation with surgeons
- Generating comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing the product
- Generating design assurance documentation for the project

What Makes You Stand Out
- Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerancing
- Active participation in development meetings with surgeons and key Zimmer personnel
- Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups
- Helping to identify customer requirements for a new product
- Establishing a process method which meets performance and quality requirements
Your Background
- Must be actively enrolled in an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment.
- Pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Science or Engineering strongly required.
- Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during both co-op terms.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
- GPA of 3.2 preferred.
