Zimmer Biomet Great Lakes is an independent distributor of Zimmer Biomet, Inc. based in Troy Michigan. Our mission is to provide products dedicated to alleviating pain and improving the quality of life for people around the world. The account service representative is an important part of our team as we continue to grow.
We are looking for a highly motivated and results driven account service representative with a background in customer service. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented and experienced in working with multiple accounts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming orders and calls.
- Support and communicate with sales team.
- Order entry, reviewing and submitting customer purchase orders.
- Maintain and update daily schedule.
- Coordinate billing with customers to request/receive purchase orders.
- Answer pricing and product inquiries.
- Assist in obtaining necessary information from the applicable system used for pricing and sales analysis, sales reporting, and special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills and abilities)
- Excellent telephone skills and the ability to handle multiple daily telephone calls in a positive manner.
- Ability t develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, sales representatives and health care office staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write legibly with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Ability to analyze situations and resolve problems (i.e., consolidate shipments from various suppliers and ensure documentation for export is correct)
- Effective working in teams to achieve the department’s objectives
- Attention to details
Education/Experience Requirements
· Associates degree preferred
· 3-5 years of medical billing/customer service experience required
