Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Worksite Safety & Utility Coordinator located in Crown Point, IN. The responsibilities include developing and implementing safety and health programs, conducting safety training, overseeing compliance with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, and investigating workplace accidents. The Worksite Safety & Utility Coordinator will work closely with teams to ensure all safety standards are met and promote a culture of safety on construction sites. Contacting Indiana 811 and processing utility locates, and visiting jobsite checking in on safety and jobsite locates.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations
- Experience in Safety Training and promoting safety awareness
- Proven ability to perform thorough Accident Investigation and implement corrective actions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Relevant certifications or training in workplace safety and health are advantageous
- Proficiency in identifying and mitigating safety risks
- Prior experience in construction or a related industry is a plus
- Prior experience in locate damage investigations and Indiana 811
