Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Operations Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will oversee daily accounting processes, ensure data entry accuracy, and support the broader financial operations of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform accounts payable functions including credit card payments, vendor reconciliation, data entry, check runs and other payable duties as assigned.
- Manage manufacturer invoice reconciliation on a weekly basis to support data verification.
- Assist with receiving inventory through our point-of-sale system, ensuring inventory across our footprint is entered accurately and timely.
- Research, reconcile and manage chargebacks from national account customers to determine appropriate resolution.
- Provide scheduled front desk coverage, including answering incoming calls, welcoming visitors and assisting with basic administrative and filing tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including field and corporate staff, to ensure accounting accuracy.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Tireworks, Microsoft Excel and other company systems.
Requirements
- Two or more years of prior office, accounts payable or related business experience highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
- Excellent communication and writing skills to prepare clear documentation and interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
