Barback/ Fruit Bar/ Ice Cream Station

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, guest-focused Fruit Bar & Ice Cream Station Staff member to join our front-of-house team at an upscale Boston restaurant. You will be responsible for crafting beautiful fruit platters, fresh beverages, and ice cream desserts that delight our guests — while keeping the station spotless and visually inviting. This role starts approximately one month before our opening date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ice cream desserts, fruit drinks, and artfully arranged fruit platters according to recipes and presentation standards
• Execute precise fruit cutting and knife work with consistency and speed
• Follow all recipes and quality standards to ensure consistent, beautiful output every service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually attractive dessert station at all times

Qualifications

Required

• Basic knife skills for efficient, safe fruit preparation
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent product quality
• Strong attention to detail in presentation and cleanliness
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen or station environment

Allergen awareness

All station staff are expected to understand the 9 FDA-recognized major food allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, sesame) and be able to communicate clearly with guests about ingredient content. Allergen awareness training will be provided during onboarding if not already completed.
